I guess this question has probably been asked a number of times, but I'm flying with my friend from LHR to JFK. ( guess this is a fairly busy / popular route) We are both on the same booking, when seating is assigned, what do you think are the chances that we will actually be seating together? My partner has never fly long haul before and doesn't want to spend the 7 hours sitting on the other side of the plane from me.?

I know that available of two seats together may be a little hit and miss, depending on how many gold / silver EC members are on the flight. Though I would hope that when BA allocate seats, they would seat us together as we are on the same booking. ( this didn't happen on a CE flight last year).

Just wanna try and prepare for the possibility that we might not be seated together.
