Apart from the schools, nothing closed here in San Miguel and we didn't have a single case. Of course that's not to say that the flu might not return with a vengeance in the winter, but it's just as likely to hit other countries from now on. 36,00 people die of seasonal flu a year in the US alone! Londinense -- I completely agree with you re. the tabloids over here.
What has happened essentially is that the fact that 30 people have the cold, and as a consequence of this "breaking news" such trivialities as the fact that the economy is in meltdown, redundancies are rife, home repossessions are at an all-time high etc., etc., etc. have all been pushed off the front cover.
Does nobody have access to Lem-Sip anymore ??? !!!
