The metro station is very convenient and operates 24/7. It´ll take you downtown (Kgs Nytorv ) in 15 minutes. Or you can take the train from the airport to the Main Station, which is right next to the Tivoli Gardens and Town Hall Square. There are also a couple of bus lines from the airport to the downtown area: 5A and 96N.

Regarding tickets you should consider buying a "yellow 3 Zone punchcard" (Gult klippekort) for 170kr from the railways desk at terminal 3. That´ll give you 10 single trips betwen the Hilton / airport and the city. The ticket is valid on the metro as well as on the train and the busses.
