Re Mexico. I have been here since the "crisis" began and all I can say was that it was much exaggerated, blown up by the ever-hysterical tabloids in the UK, whilst the government here may have over-reacted. Mexico City is now back to normal: the restaurants and museums have reopened and the kids gone back to school. Apart from the schools, nothing closed here in San Miguel and we didn't have a single case. Of course that's not to say that the flu might not return with a vengeance in the winter, but it's just as likely to hit other countries from now on. 36,00 people die of seasonal flu a year in the US alone!
