What are your preferences? ie A large city, Desert enviromennt or getting to the wild outdoors?
The West coast of the USA/Canada tends to be better value in terms of cost/miles per length of flight.
My suggestions ( in no order);
(1) San Francisco ( Napa Valley/Pacific Coast Highway)
(2) Los angeles ( San diego, Las Vegas)
(3) Phoenix ( tucson/Sedona/Grand Canyon)
(4) Vancouver ( Vancouver island/whistler/drive through the rockies to Calgary then fly back from Calgary)
NYC is a great city also (Also Boston,Washington DC and Toronto or Montreal)
