ANC is a madhouse -
We have to leave early to make it to the East Coast by mid-afternoon or earlyevening-
AS has 4 or so ANC-SEA then, and flights to PDX, ORD, DEN & SFO (at least in the summer)
And this excludes flights from AA, CO, DL, NW & US...
We even have late night regional flights to ENA via 7H...
Took until post #83 for someone to mention ANC?!
For those of us up here, I think the better question is, "Anyone ever been on a flight NOT departing between 11-3 am?"
(I probably would have gotten the upgrade to F if we'd have done the red-eye, too!
)
I have exactly once: when BOB W forced me to pay $50 extra for a 6am flight instead of the 2:30am flight on our way to SEA DOO...
(Actually, quite seriously, I can't really think of another time I haven't flown on a red-eye...I'm sure I've been on a couple daytime departures, but they certainly don't come to memory!)
I've been on plenty-
When the destination is on the west coast its possible/pratical - now east coast - that is a different story...
And the daytime flights ex-ANC have real food in F too
(Plus the BR is open...)
