OK - I understand the school break discussion, but the interesting thing is that it is Tuesday through Friday that is blocked out. Weekends are no problem. I was actually wondering if there was some sort of business event in London during this period. I was curious so check the end of August as suggested, but do not see the same pattern - lots of open CE seating.
By the way I do understand the difference between J,C and D availablity and award availability. Just thought it curious for instance that with 9 flights to CDG on June 30 and all but 1 showing J9,D9 and C9 that there was no awards available.
I already opened a separate thread about it (not finding this) but another interesting fact is that flights to LCY are available plenty. The fact is that:
- ET awards are available on almost any flight.
- I class shows I9 on almost any flight.
- CE awards to LCY are not a problem.
This pattern continues for at least 3 weeks. So what is the matter? Unfortunately I am booking a through award Europe to US and so far have booked a connection via LCY to reserve CW seats (can not book online ET Europe-LHR and CW LHR-US, going to call EC to change).
