Well, for 22 - 26 December it is pretty clear why there may be no seats. But I think that the OP, and most of us, are left guessing as to the exact reason the first two or three days of July have 0 availability for Europe CE flights. Yes, it is during a peak period, so it is not too surprising that there is no availability, but if you look at the award calendar for FCO-LHR, for example, you'll see availability on every day -- without exception -- within at least a two week period of July 1, except for those three or four days at the beginning of July. Can you explain why those specific days are blacked out when the days around them aren't?
