If the use of their cards in partiuclar Marriotts incurs extra charges would they not have to disclose such to their cardholders?

IE: "Please note that in the following Marriott-flagged (list of hotel/resort locations names) establishments use of your Chase Visa Marriott Rewards Visa Card will cause the impostiion of a 1.5% Service Charge

Since, according to the Marriott Concierges this forum is regularly read by principals (including high level executives) of Marriott International there must be some interesting discussions being conducted (or soon to be concdcted) at Marriott Hq.

If the OP would care to hurry the process along a phone call to Mr. M's office shouldl certainly expedite things.

All of which suggests the GM of the property in question will be receiving (or has already received) an interesting (most likely one-sided) phone call.
