Here’s what I want to do:

Book an itinerary using a MC companion certificate for my wife, her friend, and me. (I will use my miles to get a ticket for my wife’s friend’s husband). Then I would like to split the PNR with my wife & me on one and my wife’s friend on the other. This way my wife and I will be eligible for the “upgrade” machine.

Will they split a PNR booked with a certificate? In the terms it says that “all passengers must travel in the same class and itinerary”.

Also are tickets booked with certificates eligible for upgrades?

Can I purchase an F ticket and get 2 coach tickets for $99?
