I had a 14 hour layover in KUL two years ago with Mrs. McDuck and Ms McDuck (4 years at that time). We stayed for quite some hours in the Pan Pacific and really enjoyed it. You can walk directly from the terminal to the hotel. The walk will not last longer than 5 minutes. The room was nice, clean and large enough.

We decided to take some sleep for reducing our jet-lag (well, we had a connection to AKL) and to get some shower. Shopping and eating in the airport is rather limited on the landside. Going through immigration is almost as easy and quick as in SIN. The whole process took us not more than 2 minutes.

If you have such a long stop and think about staying in the Pan Pacific - go for it.
