So I've been playing with this fare all day and finally managed to make an itinerary work with using either a LAX-SFO-HNL or SEA-SFO-HNL connecting to an asian flight on the outbound and using ORD for a very long stopover on the return. Mine totals $370ish, but this is good if you want to piece one together.

Combine that with a HNL-BKK award for 65k in C and I have a very nice vacation that costs me $120 for MDW-LAX, $370 for LAX-HNL-ORD-EWR, and 65k miles to BKK in C. Or the grand total being a burn of $490 and 50k miles, plus I earn 8k EQM.
