The one real sticking point that is making this itinerary hard to book like I want to is there is no L availability on later flights from EWR to the west coast to overnight on the way to HNL.
I'm going ex-WAS next month through ORD. It might have been possible to come up with an outbound or return that have left me "stuck/stranded" in SFO overnight like brer Rabbit in the Briar Patch? I didn't know that sort of thing was possible. It is? They would allow bookings that had you overnighting along the way to/from HNL without paying additional fees? (What about when flying transpac? Could pause in gateway city, e.g., SFO or LAX?)
