I am actually a permanent resident. And bad experience with the Immigration is not limited to foreigners. We (citizens and permanent residents) get grilled too!

I assume you are a Belgium Citizen which is eligible for US Visa Waiver Program (VWP). You might not understand all the hoops and loops for people who need to get a US visa for entering US. The processes are tedious especially for people who come from middle east and asia (namely, China and North Korea). US border is not friendly to those people. So When Cheerfulflyer was upset by CBP officer "in a rude, mean and disrespectful way". I suggested him/her not to do international MRs due to VISA holder status. It would be a lot easier for him when he does not need a visa to enter US, i.e. to get his green card or US passport or eligible for US Visa Waiver Program.

International MR is not for everyone. This world is not free and there is a lot of barriers out there. I don't need to make any sense to you but what I say was not BS, if you cannot understand.
