This resort is a paradox. It looks like it took shells from bombing practice, yet being on the North Shore it is georgeous breakers crashing in all around it. There are two wings that face the ocean and one was completly under much needed construction as the other wing had huge chunks of concrete missing and balconies shored up w/pilings. It is an hours drive from Honolulu and there did not appear to be any restaurants or towns nearby. It would be a good place for kids as the pool is goodsize and there is also a sheltered bay which allows for swimming in the ocean and playing on a beach with no breakers. Seeing as it is not near any nightlife, town and is under construction, I personally would steer clear of this resort.
