Flying on AS 1 last Saturday, May 2 from DCA to SEA. About an hour into the flight FA asks "Please ring your flight attendant call button if you are a doctor, nurse, or EMT. We have a medical emergency in the rear of the aircraft". Nobody likes to hear this kind of announcement. About 8 different call buttons were pushed and several people moved to the back of the plane to help. Since I was seated closer to the front, I could not tell what was going on but they must have gotten it under control since nothing else occurred in the remaining 4.5 hours of the flight. Kudos to the crew for the way they dealt with this situation.
