i have an mr coming up on the 12th/13th. i have 41 minutes between flights in lax. the lax-iad flight is f0. i upgraded with 15k miles and the upgrade is waitlisted. theres a flight after that that has f3 (i know its early and i still probably won't get f as a 1p but just want to keep options open). if i do miss my lax-iad flight, either intentionally or by mistake, will i get waitlisted for f on the next lax-iad flight if my upgrade doesnt clear by the time i check in for the whole itin? to make it a little more complicated, my iad-pit portion has already confirmed upgrade. will i be able to get f on the next flight out of iad to pit if there is space? also, if there isn't space in f, can i wait in iad until there is space on an iad-pit in f? (the second leg isn't really important to sit in f, im just curious).
