You should have no problem if you are trying to get an award issued. I have some CO miles that are being transferred over, and they issued the award to me after I told them that the miles from CO were on the way. I don't know if/how they verify that the miles are on the way there, but CO takes about 60 days for their "electronic" transfer. UA only took me 8 days!
Used the miles to get a TEEN award for 6 free nights at Tapatio Cliffs in Phoenix.
