I received this in my Inbox yesterday:

Dear kyym, enjoy the privileges and benefits of 1KŪ status for 90 days. R.S.V.P. online by May 31, 2009 and your status will be updated within two weeks.

On following the link, here's what it says:

"Register by May 31, 2009 for complimentary 1K status, valid for 90 days. During this time, you will have all the benefits of being a 1K, including:

* Confirmation of 500-Mile E-Upgrades at 100 hours prior to departure
* Access to exclusive inventory of Economy Saver Award seats
* Exemption from award fees and ticketing fees (exceptions may apply)
* Learn more about 1K status

Please note: You will not receive a 1K kit or card for this complimentary status; however, you will be recognized in our system and you will be provided a seamless travel experience."


Did anyone else get this? Is this kind of promotion common (my first year building miles on MP - my default plan to date has been LH M&M)? How would I check if you get CR1's during this 90-day period?
