So it just got resolved however, it seems to be MR practice to block the MR accont in cases like this

We are waiving the late charges and interest and the Lien Fees due to
the situation and the Marriott Rewards account will be unlocked and we
have updated the name on the account.

The participation in the Marriott Rewards program is contingent on that
you do not owe any funds to Marriott or Marriott Vacation Club International.

The annual Maintenance Fees are due the second week of January every
year for the U.S. resorts, you can see the information online at
www.my-vactionclub.com

The Condominium Owners Association expects you to be proactive and
check on the web if you have not received the billings and resolve the
matter.
