Within the last two weeks I stayed at both the Doubletree Suites and the Doubletree Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. The Doubletree Suites on Sunrise Blvd was disappointing and my room was a bit rundown. The Suites' location is on the intercostal waterway and not the beach proper. The Doubletree Hotel is actually on the beach about a mile and a half south and I felt was a much nicer property.
