Your argument is fundamentally wrong. For those folks sleeping/resting/napping they make eye-masks. Planes are for travel whereas cinemas/theaters are for watching whatever movie you came to watch. If you REALLY want to see a certain movie, either see it in the cinema/theater when it comes out or buy/rent it and watch it in your home. If you're on the plane to watch a movie, then you take the risk of the shade being up and it not being a perfect viewing environment for you.
