If I like watching the wing to see if William Shatner is out there filming a Twilight Zone episode, that's my prerogative--and I am not going to miss it so you can see your movie all nice and cushy. You know what? They don't have Dolby 7.1 either. Get real. It's a PLANE, not a theater. The windows came first.

I'll tell you what's really annoying though. Selfish, self-centered people who want it their way and are unwilling to compromise.
Keeping the window shade up in the middle of the long haul flight when everyone else is sleeping/resting/napping/watching movie is like the situation of talking on the cell phone in the middle of the moive in the public cinema/theatre. I bet you are one of those guys who don't turn of the phone or put it to slient mode when you are watching movie in the cinema. Will you answer your phone when everyone is quietly watching the movie in the theatre? If you go to theatre, then you should prepare not to bother the other audience with your cell phone, same is in the long haul flight, then you should prepare not to bother the others with your window shade.
