Last week while waiting to disembark in SYD, I tried to lift the middle armrest in the middle section of 4-seats and could not. I searched for a latch, but couldn't find one. The woman behind me said she also tried to no avail.
Has anyone else noticed this and/or do you know how to lift it?

My flight on Monday is wide open & it looks like I'll have the row to myself, so would love to find out more about this.
An FA friend has told me that the armrests in the middle blocks do NOT lift in E+
. I was hoping it might just be one of the planes and not ALL. I have asked a friend who is flying this week to check out a few rows to see if thats a standard thing. I think the FA said it was the design by manufacturer of the new seats though - I dont understand the logic of it - but perhaps it was cheaper to install that way. I wonder how this will work with the new POS buy two seats policy ...hmmm

Anyone have any further datapoints to add? Do the rows by the windows in E+ have movable armrests?
