I might suggest heading over to 10th Avenue in the 20s around 4am to watch the B&T crowd stumble out of the clubs. It can be quite amusing.

Then maybe head to Veselka in the East Village for some late-night bites, then maybe the Brooklyn Bridge (though I've never done that).

B&T = Bridge & Tunnel, i.e., derogatory term for New Jersey, Staten Island and Long Island residents who come to party in the city, generally having to take a bridge or tunnel to get into Manhattan.
