Right is the way that will be understood; will not prompt snıggers; will not sound pretentious.
I consider myself fortunate, then, as I am generally understood, don't recall having prompted any s......s, and would hope to not be deemed as sounding pretentious, when I pronounce names of places approximating the original language.
