I recently decided to register for every single OnePass promo on co.com on the off-chance that I might actually fly one of the routes offering bonus miles.

Now there's a couple of questions lingering in my mind..

Does everyone do this and I'm just late to the game? Certainly not everyone is going to fly to shanghai, lhr, and roatan during the allotted periods.

Why does OnePass want you to register for these promos? I suppose they don't want to just give away the farm, but I don't really recall these being advertised aside from that portion of the website. So what's the point?
