Thanks guys.

OK, here's a what if. (I know, I'm kinda anal like that). As I said, the DH is having a little medical proceedure and it's possible that he might to make a pit stop. (or 2) So, if the first leg is on time but we get to the gate too late, will they still protect us on the later flight?
