I just replaced my bluetooth headset with the Callpod Dragon and popped for its Bluetooth USB key called the "Drone." I am very impressed with its capability to handle VOIP from my softphones.

First, this headset can maintain two active connections so I can connect to my cellphone and my computer at the same time. Second, the range is great. I can walk around my entire house (standard 2,500 colonial) on the headset.

What shocked me was the drone. My iMac at home has Bluetooth (as does my wife's Sony Vaio). When I connected the phone to the computer's bluetooth, there was a slight delay when I ran echo tests. With the drone, the connections are great even on my Asus netbook.

I don't use my softphone very much (other than foreign travel). This may change my position.
