You are absolutely incorrect. Platinum Travel services is a travel agency and can book any hotel and any rates including FHR. In order to get a FHR benefits, you must book a FHR rate at participating FHR properties. So, to answer OP question, OP will not get any FHR benefits.
That is absolutely not correct (regarding the last part of your statement). Yes, PTS can book any property and any rate, but so as long as OP booked a FHR property (the Palazzo DOES fall into the FHR property list, at it is PART of the Venetian; just like the Venezia Tower is part of the Venetian, and just like Encore is part of the Wynn, even though Palazzo, Venezia, and Encore are not listed as individual FHR properties), OP will receive the typical FHR amenities.
Note to OP: Make sure your Amex confirmation states that you are receiving the Fine Hotels and Resorts Amenities (even the little clause saying "FINE HOTEL AND RESORT PROGRAM. FOR PAYMENT PLATINUM CARDMEMBER MUST USE AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD IN HIS/HER NAME." That will give you more than enough proof if you deal with any hassles at check-in. If your itinerary doesn't say this, call Amex back and ask they send a new one making note that you are staying at the FHR rate.
