American coded flight on AS metal - Gold Upgrades
I recently booked on American a PDX - DEN flight which is operated by Alaska. The fare on AS was $307 and on American it was $233 which gave me no option through our corporate travel desk.

When I called Alaska to get on the upgrade list they were hesitant. The agent said she has a note in the system that it could cause the record to be canceled.

Does anyone have experience with this scenario and is the system really going the process the upgrade correctly?
