Intercontinental The Clement Monterey

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Absolutely excellent

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Standard Room on points. Received Ocean Front Terrace Suite

How are the rooms?
Really good. This is my second stay here and on the first stay the upgrade was only to an Ocean Front/Fireplace room. The suite had two bathrooms (one huge), living room with fireplace, walk-in closet, and bedroom. Excellent view - and even binoculars in the room so you could take advantage of it.

How is the exec. lounge?
There isn't one

What was good and what was bad?
Quick check-in and greeted by General Manager
Welcome-back letter in room confirming RA benefits including mini-bar
Coupon in letter for free breakfast (current Ambassador offer)
Wine, chocolate, fruit, water in room
Hotel restaurant - both evening meal and breakfast were excellent (and not too over-priced)
Nothing bad apart from the weather

Most US Intercontinentals don't seem to have the same service you'd get in Asia or the better European properties, but this hotel has matured well over the last year and ranks as one of my favourite IC properties

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
At 30000 points for suite, mini bar, breakfast... Can't complain
