All very good comments, I like doc's
esp. I may have been better off
being ignorant . Anyway I now wonder how
much of this goes on. Airlines have similar
types of rules eg. non upgradable fares etc.
however they are upfront about these things.
Thats what bothers me most about what
happened.

As a side note my gripe is with the
person who put in the comment. The clerk
was just following orders. Also the staff
are quite nice at the property.

I forgot one more thing. I'm plat. with
starwood and I agree with 2 Many Miles .
They are so much better
at following their own rules. I just don't
see something like this happening there.
