Hi all,
I have just used the AE plat travel services for the very first time.
Booked the Palazzo, for two weekdays in the first week of May using my plat card.
here is my question, after booking, I realized that the Palazzo is not listed as one of the "fine hotels & resorts" on the plat travel site, while the Venetian is.
So Iam wondering, since the Palazzo is a part of the Venetian (just like Encore and Wynn), will I still be eligible for the breakfast and comp upgrades?
I will be checking in after 8:30 and what are my chances of actually getting bumped into a nicer room?? Would anyone of you please share your experiences? If the chances are slim, then I may as well just pay the extra and do the upgrade now....

You are correct, the Palazzo is pretty much the same as Venetian. Platinum Travel Services only book "fine hotels" approved by Amex. You will be getting an upgrade (it might be a suite or it might just be a strip view on a higher floor). You will get a letter when you arrive stating that you are participating in the Fine Hotels and Resorts program.
