I just got a new calling card here in NY to cover me for my SYD and AKL trip on Sun. Verizion sells it at COSTCO when I called to refill it they tell you to buy a new 1 to save the 15% refilling fee

I guess they feel this way you'll end up leaving some of the $30 unused and its theirs to keep

I dont know about the UK but calling my friends cell in SYD is .39 a min , calling his home was .07 So I see myself reaching alot of people night time back in NY when I can grab them on their landline if I need to

OK not as convient as using your cell and to avoid Hotel phone fees (if they charge for using 800 #s) I will have to make it my bis to find and use a Pay Phone
