as someone who just stayed in three different hilton propertieson three successive days in los angeles, i applaud the effort. but i find, especially while on vacation, that there comes a time when you want to stop all the running around and just stay put and enjoy yourself. i know it amounts to heresy to admit this on these boards, but sometimes it's not worth the extra stay or the extra 500 (or 1000) miles.

as for my stays in LA... if the truth be told, my switching around maximized the double double dip and bonus options to be sure, but i really did it because each hotel was a little more conveniently located to where my appointments were for the next day.

but, for the record, i do believe you're correct. you'd get credit for all 4 "stays."
