Exactly what I do. I always pay by CC when using paypal so that I get miles - and as a matter of principle I refuse to give paypal the benefit of not paying the credit card transaction fee since they don't pass on the savings.

Ditto. The problems with paypal increased after it was acquired by ebay. Basically ebay does not give a **** *** about individual consumers, only large business accounts receive tolerable customer service. As a result I mostly buy everything via Amazon and sell via Craigslist. I would bet others must be doing the same as ebay stock has been in the tank for some time.
It makes me a bit sad, as I used to do quite a bit of buying and selling on ebay. But if you don't take care of your customers, you lose them.
