My colleague and I Paid 223 pounds each to travel from London to Leeds and back earlier this week. (same day fare). Train was a mess, seats were uncomfortable. Wasn't sure if we'd arrive on time. (We did, but our return train was late).

UK can keep the UK train "system". It sucks.
