Only one stay as Hilton Gold in 2000, but a great one it was:

Barcelona Hilton on a VERY low group rate:
Was met at check in by Guest Service Manager, escorted to private check-in lounge.
Given a real suite (Totally separate living- and bedroom with 2 TV's, two minibars, etc.). Personal note from the manager welcoming me as well as a minor amenity upon arrival, but two bottles of water replenished daily. Access all areas.
All in all: A much better stay than anticipated, and although the property itself is a little faded, I'm definetely coming back on an award stay!
