The info would be as old as the flight time since we have no way of pulling up gate info inflight. You would be just as well off asking the originating gate agent what your gate is.

And really, isn't it enough with the announcements already? Do you really want to hear us drone on for 5 minutes over a PA that's too loud or too soft with the connecting gates (30+) for a full flight.
