I took advantage of the recent sale to book a Honeymoon in Australia, flying LHR-SYD. I booked the flight for my fiancee in her maiden name, however have since found out that her current passport expires ahead of the wedding and as she's keen to get a new one as Mrs Thelonius, I've been trying to change the name on her booking.

Its booked via BA, but is a Qantas codeshare. I called BA and they said, they couldn't change it but I could try Qantas - they said it was a BA ticket so nothing to do with them and I should talk with BA.

I was just wondering if anyone had any views on whether I should persevere with either of them or just bite the bullet and get her a new passport in her maiden name for a couple of months. The tickets are selling class I outbound and A inbound if that makes any difference.
