Having read the seating policy, I now realise that if I had made the booking for myself on miles and the revenue booking had been for my wife, we both could have picked our own seat as my booking is in Y and W. Could I do a name change on my fully flexible ticket and the miles booking?

Do you think "sending my request to seating" will actually do anything or ws it a way of getting me off the phone?

Finally, if all else fails I guess I need to try and grab the seats next to me at check-in. Problem is I have a bulkhead on the way out (Row 33) and an exit row on the way back (29), they will be grabbed pretty quickly. Maybe I should pick a seat in the middle of a row of 3 and discourage any couples from picking the seats next to me!
