BTW - have any of you ever done Singapore to Istanbul? Although it is a Singapore Airlines "dead end" - it is a cheap "hop/skip/jump" to Frankfurt.

My husband doesn't much care for the idea of Moscow for a variety of reasons. And I'm not sure it makes sense to go to cities where the temps in some will be 70's-80's (which we like) - and in another - 40's-50's (which we don't like).

I assume you are all seasoned travelers in Asia. Silly question. I have looked at the temps when we would be traveling (about a year from now - it takes a lot of time for me to plan these trips). Pretty hot in Singapore then (like Miami). I know Singapore is strict about things like throwing gum on the sidewalk - but would we be treated badly if we wore nice shorts/shirts in this weather during the day for sightseeing (my husband wears a big leg brace and it is very uncomfortable for him to wear it under pants in hot weather). We don't mind looking like tourists - after all - that's what we would be! But wouldn't want to be seen as disrespectful of the culture (for example - I wouldn't think of going to a religious country/place without dressing appropriately in terms of modesty). Robyn
