What is the least number of miles needed to do this trip.?

If I need to use other airlines in Sky Team who do I call?

Or am I better paying for the full trip and adding more miles to my account?

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated

It's the same amount of miles (you're allowed one stopover and one openjaw). You just can't book the stopover online. Call CO and request what you want.

As for whether it's worth burning miles, that's up to you when you compare the cost of the ticket and earned vs. the miles expended and taxes paid.
