OK, trip completed and here are some thoughts/observations:

1. Given the choice, I'd take 6D and 6E on the INTL 757. There is no 6F so these are two seats by themselves with lots of legroom. You also have three seats far in front of you for under-seat storage. As another post mentions, there is no overhead storage above these seats so get on early if you need it. Also, there is no window for row 6 (other than the tiny window in the exit door itself) which is no big deal IMO since most of the flights are longer and over the Atlantic.

2. Seats 7A and 7F have the bulge in the exit door protruding into your leg space. However, they have windows and I would still choose them over a regular row any day. 7 B and 7 C are every bit as good as 6 D and 6E with lots of legroom too. One could argue that they are even better if seat 6F goes un-occupied.

3. Note that seatguru and US's own website show three seats in row 6 however there are only two seats. US's website won't allow you to choose the non-existant seat 6F so it doesn't matter anyway.

4. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere but there are some INTL config 757's that have a lav at door 2L and others that do not. So on some 757's you have seats 5 A,B,C and on others you have a lavatory. Obviously, I would not recommend reserving seat 5 A,B, or C.

5. All of Row 4 (bulkhead between Envoy and coach) looked pretty good (decent legroom, no seats in front of you and full recline) there were families with babies there on both our flights. I'd hesitate to reserve those.

Thanks!
