In my country, I buy from pharmacy (no prescription needed) and it comes in original "Novartis" box with blister pack inside - not special "pill container" or prescription bottle like USA.

What will happen if I take this in carry on bag into USA? If I don't have the medicine, it will be a bit harder for me while I am there (10 day stay, so I need 20 pills). But, do border security or airport security arrest people? Or just steal medicine? If I get arrested that woud ruin my trip

Previous trips, I have had many pills like ibuprofen or allergy medicine just in plain bottle. I never had problems. But online I have read that Ritaline is very special in USA, like cocaine punishment!

Thank you.
1) Even though your country does not require a prescription, can you get your doctor to write you one?

2) Is there somewhere you could mail your medication in the US? I don't even know if this is legal... it's just a thought.
