I guess if you have a need to go from DAL to MEM its a nice thing.

I threw in a couple of random dates, July 7 to July 12. On NW, you've got a CRJ and the r/t price is $173.20. You will be gate checking your larger carry ons and your checked bags will cost you $15 (1st) and $25 (2nd) each way unless you've got status.

WN will take you from DAL to LIT r/t for $137.70 on a full size airplane (737, of course). Southwest's base prices (plus tax) are $49 outbound and $69 return. The random dates turned out to be a Tuesday and a Sunday.

Little Rock is 137 miles from Memphis.

When I was in DAL in March, I walked over to where AA and CO fly from. What a ghost town. Kind of neat in its own way. A lot of gates over there. Interesting to think of all the people that used to fly from there to all sorts of places, years ago. There is quite a contrast to the "empty" feeling over there in CRJ land compared to the activity in LUV land.
