Bobby Short is a wonderful entertainer. He is most famous for his incredible repertoire of Cole Porter songs, which he sings and plays on the piano in a brisk, showmanlike style. If you stay at the Carlysle you can get the suite with Cole Porter's own piano. For a hefty fee Bobby Short will come up and do a private recital, if he's still in good health (he was having some problems last I heard).
