My original train of thought is trying to state that BA is not an airline renowed for the lower end of the market and for them to cater shops/restaurants etc... in their terminal for this just does not make sense.
It doesn't really have anything to do with BA at all. It's BAA's terminal (unfortunately) and they decide what shops/restaurants go in it.
