Last October, I had the opportunity to take the African Safari Package on points. What a rush! The facilities are fantastic, meals exquisite and the scenery breathtaking.

We were lucky enough to be there at a time when there were three of the big five in the park. They were not conducting any nighttime drives at the time so we missed the leopards.

I would recommend advance signup for the balloon safari, as this does fill up quite fast.

The drive from Nairobi is a ...... Six hours, tons of traffic, makes backroads in Brazil seem quite inviting.

We also went to Nairobi National Park for a afternoon and caught up with a sly Rhino and four Cheetah at sunset. A perfect trip.

Carnivore restaurant is a culinary experience you will not soon forget.

Get your immigration visa before you go! The airport staff is a mess.
